The Year 8 Art students have recently completed a truly imaginative and inspiring project—crafting ceramic masks. Drawing inspiration from Kristen Egan’s fantastical gourd masks and sculptures, the students began with sketches of dogs as their foundation. From there, they let their creativity run wild, transforming their drawings into magical creatures adorned with antlers and unique embellishments.

The process, while longer than initially anticipated, was a rewarding journey for the students. They honed their skills in design, sculpture, and detail work, resulting in a collection of masks that are as intricate as they are captivating.
