Mr Ritchie’s Year 7 Marine and Maritime class has had an action-packed term learning the fundamentals of bodyboarding at Middleton Beach. Students have embraced the opportunity to develop their confidence in the water while honing essential ocean safety skills.

With the stunning Albany coastline as their classroom, students have practiced wave reading, paddling techniques, and safe board handling—all while having a fantastic time in the surf. This hands-on experience has provided valuable insights into marine environments and coastal recreation.

To cap off a great term, students received their brand-new maritime program caps this week, a fitting way to celebrate their efforts and gear up for more beachside learning ahead!
