With an incredible nine teams and 14 student helpers—totalling 94 students—Albany SHS made a strong presence at the 2025 High School Netball Cup at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre. Accompanied by ‘pump-up’ tunes courtesy of Dakota, our teams arrived ready to take the court with energy and enthusiasm.

Games were played across both indoor and outdoor courts. Those on the grass battled through slower play and the heat of the Albany sun, while the indoor games moved at a faster pace, with a lively crowd creating an electric atmosphere.

Our students represented Albany SHS with pride and integrity throughout the day. On the court, they played with intensity, sportsmanship, and teamwork, showing great respect for opponents, umpires, and teammates. Off the court, they showed just as much spirit—cheering loudly and supporting each other wholeheartedly.

It was a fantastic day for Albany SHS, with four teams reaching their respective Grand Finals—and three of those bringing home the championship! An outstanding achievement by all involved.

A huge thank you to our Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation students who stepped up to coach and manage teams on the day. We are also extremely grateful to our parent and community volunteers—Jodie, Tash, Nanette, Erin, and Kym—who generously gave their time to umpire.
