As we prepare for the academic year, we are excited to extend an invitation for your child to enrol in Albany Senior High School.

Albany Senior High School takes pride in being a local intake school, serving our community with dedication and excellence. It is important to note that enrolment will be given priority to students residing within our local intake area. For clarity on these boundaries, click here or contact our Administration Office for assistance. You can also search on the Schools Online website to see if an address is in the ASHS zone. Type the address into the 'Search by an address' bar and click on search; select 'Albany Senior High School' on the right-hand side, and it will bring up a map that pinpoints the address you've searched compared to where the school is. This map also shows an outline of our zone compared to where the school and the address searched are located.

Gifted and Talented Application

If you have already accepted a place in the Albany Senior High School Gifted and Talented Program through the Academic Selection Unit, please select "GAT application" as the application type on page one of the enrolment form and continue with the Application Process.

Non-Local Intake Application

If vacancies remain after local intake enrolments, we will consider applications from students outside the area, adhering to the following criteria:

1. A child with a sibling has already enrolled at our school for the respective academic year and resides nearest the school.
2. A child with no sibling enrolled at our school for the respective academic year and residing nearest to the school.

APPLICATION PROCESS – YEAR 7

During your student’s final year of primary school, our staff will visit primary schools from within our local intake area and meet with staff and students to provide relevant enrolment information, discuss Year 7 orientation, and answer any questions they may have. Enrolment packs will be supplied to students at these visits.

Families wishing to apply from outside our local intake area can access forms on our website or via our Front Office.

Step 2 – ATTACH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

• The child's Birth Certificate or Passport
• Proof of Residence (such as a current utilities account or lease agreement)
• Family Court Orders (if applicable)
• Visa Documentation (if applicable)
• Diagnosis Reports or Supporting Medical Documentation (if applicable)

STEP 3 – SUBMIT ALL DOCUMENTS TO ADMINISTRATION

Please submit all the required documents listed above with the completed Part One 'Application for Enrolment' form to ensure a smooth enrolment process. Applications must be complete, and all pages submitted. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Applications for students commencing in Year 7, 2027, should reach us no later than 3:30 pm on Friday, 24 July 2026.

We understand the importance of timely communication, and therefore, we aim to notify all families of the outcome of their application by Friday, 28 August 2026, through postal correspondence.

• Most recent School Report
• Most recent NAPLAN or OLNA Report
• Diagnosis Reports or Supporting Medical Documentation (if applicable)
