Aboriginal Intercultural Studies: Sharing Culture Through Damper Making

The Aboriginal Intercultural Studies class enjoyed a wonderful morning making damper alongside our Aboriginal SSO, Chantelle Stevenson. As students measured, mixed, and shaped their dough, they shared yarns and talked through each step of the process, highlighting the strong connections that grow from learning together.

The hands-on activity brought cultural knowledge to life in a meaningful and engaging way. And the best part? The students were delighted with their final creation, proudly describing the damper as “good and fluffy.”
