An Arts collaboration took place when Albany Contemporary Dance's Sym Parr, Nicola Bairstow and Jessica Hesford came into the Visual Arts class and modelled for our Year 10 and Cert II Visual Arts students. Over a couple of sessions, students explored timed gestural drawings of 30 seconds and 10 minutes, attempting to capture movement and the essence of the Human Form using varied media.

The contrast between a stretchy fabric costumed figure and a regularly clothed figure worked perfectly to demonstrate abstract and realist drawing styles. View the album below, which shows the students' first efforts of drawing a live model.
