Albany Senior High School’s Maritime students kicked off their Perth Surf Trip with an unforgettable dawn surf at Leighton Beach. Spirits were high as students hit the waves early, soaking up the morning sun and surf.
The adventure continued with a full day of coastal exploration, including visits to AQWA (The Aquarium of Western Australia), the Fremantle Shipwrecks Museum, and other iconic maritime sites. These experiences deepened students’ understanding of marine environments and WA’s rich maritime history.
Today, the biggest surf team ASHS has ever presented competed at Trigg Beach in the Think Mental Health State Surfing Final, part of the State Final Schools Cup. It was a full day of action, teamwork, and school pride as our surfers gave it their all on the waves.
Catch all the highlights from the competition at Surfing WA and stay tuned for more updates from our incredible trip!
