School Crest
“The school badge was re-designed in 1946 by former prefect and then Manual Arts teacher, Roy Chopping. The design has the original 1925 shape for the green portion, the school colours and emblem, the Boronia flower. Red, although a school colour, was not shown as this was represented in three Boronia flowers on a gold bar at the top. A wavy line represents the waves of the south coast”.
School Motto
The school motto “Keep Troth” means “true, upon my word” or the Latin translation “Honour expectations of your best” from the 1950’s archival album. This was selected by Francis Reedy, the first Principal of ASHS, also known as “Pop Reedy”.
