Albany Senior High School had a memorable and meaningful final assembly for the Year 12 Cohort on Friday, 22 September 2023. The students, staff, parents, and guests attended this event.
The assembly served as a farewell to the Year 12 students, marking the end of their high school education. The outgoing prefects took the opportunity to introduce the incoming prefects to the school and community. The handover ceremony symbolises the transfer of leadership roles and responsibilities from one group of students to another.
A highlight of the assembly was the announcement of the 2024 School Captains, a significant honour and responsibility that reflects their leadership qualities and contributions to the school. Congratulations, Kleo Proudfoot and Tom Smith.
The school conveyed its best wishes to all Year 12 students for their future endeavours as they move on to the next phase of their lives. These students will always be a part of our ASHS Community, and we look forward to hearing about their successes.
Overall, this final assembly was a momentous occasion filled with tradition, recognition, and well-wishes for the class of 2023 as they embark on their journey beyond high school.
