Year 11 ATAR students had an exciting glimpse into university life during a visit from St Catherine’s Residential College. The session offered insights into student housing options, support services, and the vibrant social and academic opportunities available at the college. It was an invaluable chance for students to imagine what life as a university student might look like and learn about the support provided to help with the transition to city living.
In the second part of the session, students participated in the Bloom Innovation Program, where they tackled a real-world environmental challenge. The activity sparked enthusiasm and creativity, as students worked together to brainstorm and present innovative solutions. This hands-on experience highlighted the importance of collaboration and critical thinking, with students discovering how these skills are essential for success—whether at university or in life.
The session’s big takeaway? People skills are just as important as problem-solving when it comes to making a difference and achieving your goals. A huge thank you to St Catherine’s College and Bloom for this inspiring and educational experience!
