Over the past few weeks, our Year 9 ATSI girls, together with their NASHS peers, have enjoyed a truly unique experience at TAFE in partnership with Waygl Kaip.

Across seven days of hands-on learning, students explored Aboriginal cultural connections to land, native foods, and exciting career pathways. Highlights included:

• Foraging for native ingredients with local Elders
• Hearing inspiring stories from Aboriginal chefs and hospitality professionals
• Creating stunning art projects guided by local artist Rebecca Wood
• Cooking up a storm under the world-class expertise of Chef Paul “Yoda” Iskov from Fervor

The program culminated in a spectacular community luncheon, shared with family, TAFE, Elders, and school representatives, a celebration of culture, creativity, and the hard work of our students. Full stomachs and full hearts all around!
